I am worried about having to live through a disaster like the March 11th earthquake and tsunami with dentures that don't fit well.

Q. Last year I had my teeth extracted and got dentures covered by health insurance. I hoped that I would get used to them after a while but so far I still can't stand them. I cannot eat or enjoy conversation. It has become troublesome even to meet with people.
I am worried about having to live through a disaster like the March 11th earthquake and tsunami with dentures that don't fit well. If I cannot eat properly then it is likely that my health would suffer under such circumstances. Ever since the earthquake, I have really been worrying about my dentures. I have almost no teeth left. Do you have any recommendations for someone in my situation? I am also worried about taking my dentures out at night.

A. People forced to live in shelters who have lost their dentures has become a worrisome health problem after the earthquake and tsunami in 2011. I have also heard cases of people who took their dentures out before going to bed and lost them during the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, causing them much suffering in the aftermath.
Quite a few patients have come in since the earthquake looking for a reliable pair of dentures. I think it is important to reflect during such times and think about what is necessary for our health.

If you only have a few remaining teeth, then I suggest Resilience telescope dentures. Resilience telescope dentures protect your remaining teeth without the need for extraction and are highly praised by patients who have gotten them.
The other day I saw a patient who was absolutely frightened after being told by another dentist that she needed to have her remaining teeth pulled and have all the spaces filled in with implants.
Resilience telescope dentures can be used without extracting any teeth and they are esthetically and functionally superior

Our teeth have a sensor around them called the periodontal membrane. The periodontal membrane actually stimulates the brain. So even if your remaining teeth wiggle, I think that you should do whatever you can to protect them as long as possible.

Also, dentures from our clinic can be let in while sleeping.
Dentures covered by health insurance are made with a soft resin. The inside of this resin tends to get dirty and unpleasant smells easily sink in. That is why conventional dentures must be taken out and sterilized at night. It is also said that you must rest the oral membrane at night.

With our dentures there is no need to take them out when you go to bed.
The resin used in our telescope false teeth and full dentures made using the maxillomandibular simultaneous impression method is made from materials that are strong against dirt and smells.
I hear that German dentists also recommend sleeping with your dentures in. Patients using our dentures often say, "They have become a part of me so I feel uneasy taking them out". We hope that you can also use our dentures as if they are a part of your own body and that you will rarely ever need to take them out.
