[German dentures] The difference between Resilience telescope and All-on-4 (implants)

"All-on-4 (implants) was recommended to me before by a dental clinic, but I would really like to take another look at dentures."

Recently, the number of patients who have come to us for consultation who bring up this method have increased. All-on-4 is a treatment method in which full dentures are made that are supported by 4 foundational implants. Here I will explain the differences between All-on-4 (implants) and Resilience telescope dentures.

Features of All-on-4 (implants)
First of all, since this is an implant treatment method, surgery is required. Also, the gums around the implanted teeth require much more maintenance than normal teeth do. It is very likely that patients who have lost many teeth to gingivitis will have a repeat experience with implants.

Also, many patients have a decreasing amount of bone. All-on-4 implants, which are supported by 4 teeth, exert an unnecessary amount of force on the bones. Even weak forces on the dentures will transfer completely to the 4 anchor teeth causing more force than can be supported by implants. This means that the bone will have to absorb the extra force.

Many people worry how long implants will last... especially if they receive treatment at a young age around 40 years old.

Features of Resilience telescope
With Resilience telescope there is no need for surgery. These dentures make use of your existing teeth to support all of your teeth.

These are Chubin gar Dick Prothese dentures that are supported by the membrane meaning that you can leave the periodontal membrane as it is. The periodontal membrane is a membrane surrounding the root of natural teeth that sends signals to the brain when you bite into food. The reason why it is important to preserve your natural teeth, even if you only have one left, is so that you can preserve this important nerve response.

Also, a lack of bone is no problem with Resilience telescope. Even if you do happen to lose teeth with these dentures, they can be adjusted for continued use making them long lasting.

We can also freely contour the area around your mouth with these dentures meaning that they are esthetically superior, which is one of the reasons why our patients with Resilience telescope dentures are always very happy with their choice.
